SACL welcomed a Delegation from Ukrainian Courts and Council of Europe
On 18 July 2023, a delegation of Ukrainian judges visited the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania (SACL) as part of the project "Supporting the functioning of the justice system in wartime and post-war conditions in Ukraine" organised by the Council of Europe.
The delegation of Ukrainian judges consisted of Judge Rybachuk Andrii Ivanovych (Secretary of the Social Disputes Chamber of the Supreme Court), Judge Ukhanenko Serhiy Anatoliiovych (Judge of the Administrative Cassation Court of the Supreme Court), Fuley Tetyana Ivanivna (Head of the Department of Scientific and Methodological Support of Research on Judicial Procedure and Judicial Training of the National Judicial School of Ukraine), other representatives of Ukrainian courts, as well as representatives of the Council of Europe. The guests took an interest in the practice of Lithuanian administrative courts, with a focus on the application of the principles of legal certainty and uniformity of practice, including the legitimate expectation of social benefits.
Skirgailė Žalimienė, the President of the Supreme Administrative Court, Ernestas Spruogis, Vice President of the Court, Judges Dalia Višinskienė, Rasa Ragulskytė-Markovienė and Artūras Drigotas, as well as SACL lawyers Agnė Veršelytė and Eimantė Pogužinskė, also gave the guests a briefing on the system of the administrative courts of Lithuania. They also discussed the experience of SACL in the areas of distribution of the workload of judges, work organisation of the judicial team, career and qualification development of judges, and discussed examples of sharing good practice between Lithuanian and foreign judges.
